ZTE as a phone brand is quite unheard of. In 2013, this Chinese company, formerly known as Zhongxing Telecommunication Equipment Corporation, invested around Rs 245 crore in India. This brand started making a mark in the Indian market with those famous ‘Chinese phones’ that had more than 4 speakers and an antenna to catch the FM and AM frequencies, and were dirt cheap. Now, ZTE is taking long strides by coming up with more reliable smartphones.
The brand recently announced a new flagship smartphone in China, after its ZTE Axon 10 Pro. Called Axon 10s Pro (focus on the ‘s’), the smartphone will be a perfect addition to the market, powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset. It will reportedly be paired with the X55 modem. The Original Equipment Manufacturer suggests that this model will aid in supporting 5G modes, both standalone and non-standalone (SA and NSA) variants.
This new Axon mobile phone includes the most recent Wi-Fi standard (Version 6). It will enable data transfer that can go up to 1.2 gigabits per second (Gbps). Axon 10s Pro will run the latest version of Android, which is Ver. 10 (no dessert codename for this one). The mobile OS will be modified by this ZTE's custom skin (MiFavor 10). The brand has revealed that the phone will come with state-of-the-art UFS3.0 internal memory, and LPDDR5 RAM.
In all likelihood, the phone will have the same external specs as the Axon 10 Pro. ZTE has not divulged the configuration of the smartphone, especially its RAM and storage.
Yet, it did mention a second 5G phone reveal when 10s Pro is released. The yet-to-be-announced phone has been predicated to be affordable like the Samsung Galaxy A51, Realme X50, or Vivo V17. It may cost less than 3,000 Yuan (almost $430). If you ask me, honestly speaking, I don’t think it will be able to take over Xiaomi.
